However, for true beach bums, the man-made beachfront area may be a drawback. 8 Laluna Hotel A bumpy back road leads to this eclectic, posh but laid-back boutique resort tucked away on a steep, leafy hillside on a peaceful, secluded beach. The staff are so highly trained and friendly they will do anything for you. The rooms are big, comfy and super clean. The food is excellent in quality and variety, better then any Marriott I've stayed in before USA or Europe. Right on a private beach with 2 gorgeous pools to choose from, you will be not disappointed. Free parking too which is such a bonus for an island where having a car is a serious advantage. Avg. price/night: $162 9. 2 Awesome 327 reviews A very special and nice place to forget the world around you! Very friendly and helpful staff who contribute a lot to the familiar atmosphere in the hotel. We even extended our holiday to stay a few more nights. We stayed in a studio and in a double room and both types of room offer everything you need - it's a basic standard, but furnished with good taste & the beds are very comfortable. The food was excellent. We would stay there immediately again. Avg. price/night: $139 8. 8 Excellent 526 reviews i HAVE BEEN TO THE jARAGUA FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS ITS BETTER SINCE RENOVATION 4 YEARS AGO BUT DURING THE FAKE PANDEMIC ITS NOT UP TO STANDARD EXPECTED FROM MARRIOTT Avg.
I plan to do neither, figuring the risk outweighs the benefits. It'll only be around four days until I can emerge, after all; better safe than sorry. There's a wellness kit with sanitizer, a face mask, gloves, and a sachet of Emergen-C. Amenities in the time of a pandemic. Housekeeping comes twice daily but will visit less if I prefer. I keep the regular schedule (I'm a sucker for turndown), but head onto the balcony whenever they're cleaning. I happily note that when Nicole arrives that evening, she's masked and wearing a disposable gown over her uniform, as well as gloves and a bonnet. Fast Wi-Fi allows me to work efficiently from the hotel, and the generic beach scene that was my Zoom backdrop is replaced by the real deal, the whoosh of waves my soundtrack instead of daytime TV. I've swapped my usual day-old sweats for a fluffy robe. As the sun sets, I declare day one a success. Life in hotel quarantine The next two days unfold smoothly. I Zoom with Stateside colleagues visibly envious of my new beachfront location.
