What do they get from this? Baffling! Married 20 years, DH cheated on me with 20 year old man INCForThis123 Thu 10-Sep-20 17:10:36 As my username says I've name changed for this post. I've been an active user on this site and I don't want to be outed on here nor my DH. I feel like I can't tell anyone, I'm so embarrassed confused and upset. My DH is 46 and I am 49. We have 4 children aged 21, 18, 16 and 12. This has been going on since November last year. DH has a job in the city, it requires him to work long hours and often he will stay in a hotel if he has to work late. I mention this because behaviour that may be suspicious to others was never suspicious to me for this reason. Since his office opened at the start of the month DH had said he had been making trips to the office once a week. Three days ago a close colleague to of his had arranged for an evening bbq to celebrate a birthday. Just 12 people. I had mentioned about how bad it is for places in the city that rely on big offices like coffee shops and restaurants.

Why not just do a raffle with cities and just evacuate cypriot students by city? Why should others be left behind? Repatriation by city would also make it easier to fly out of the nearest airport, eliminating the danger of students having to travel from their city to London to board flights. Also, 1000 students every 2 weeks??? Really? There are about 30K empty hotel rooms which the hotels union is more than happy to provide. I saw an article that stated that this is because some people in quarantine will need further medical support and other things that the cypriot government does not have the ability to provide, so why not just put people that would need support in the same hotel and have someone look after them whilst healthy people like me that will only need food, can be quarantine together in other hotels? Students aren't Cyprus' enemy, we are not deliberately bringing the disease and we are willing to be put in quarantine as long as possible to protect our people. All I see is inconsiderate Cypriots living their lives and spreading COVID-19.

Whilst we have to deal with the stress and anxieties created with the arrival of COVID-19, we also have to balance university work, final year dissertations and online exams. Our situation is much worse than what first years are experiencing as most universities have cancelled assessments and exams for first years and first year in the UK does not count towards our degree classification award. I heard people arguing that first years have the least experience living abroad and they are not as familiar with their city of residence but under the recent UK lockdown, you are only allowed to visit the supermarket which I am pretty sure every first year student knows where that is... First years are not the only ones in student accommodations, locked in 4x4 rooms just by themselves... What made the situation bearable at the beginning was the fact that every student was treated equally, yet the new measures are disadvantaging thousands of students. I know that this is suppose to be the start of repatriation with second years and third years following swiftly but that was not a fair decision.

This isn't a question that needs answers but I feel the need to get things out of my chest. Please do not judge me. I am a Cypriot Student currently stuck in the UK. Whilst I support every decision made by the government up until 6/04/2020 with the implementation of measures and policies to protect its people and help slow the spread of the virus within our country's boundaries, recent announcements made by the government have killed my mental health and my sense of value to the community. As a sensible 3rd year student, about to complete my last semester at university, I respected the government for choosing to delay the arrival of students. I chose to stay here and work with the mindset that I will be home soon. As a student with an ill parent, that made the most sense to me in order to protect our loved ones. However, recent news around the repatriation of students has made me upset. Why should a first year be prioritized over everyone else? 3rd years are the ones struggling the most.
They are the enemy, maybe those people should be abandoned and jailed for having the right to safety yet choose to practice ignorance. They are the enemy, not students.
