6 posts 2 Girls traveling alone in Joburg for World Cup - Need Help! 10 years ago Hello Everyone, I am planning a trip to South Africa for the World Cup. I will be travelling with my girlfriend. We are starting out Johannesburg, which is where the focus of these questions lay. My current itinerary is: Arrive in Joburg 8:30am on July 2nd Transfer to guest house Go on Soweto tour 1:00 pm - 5:00pm Go directly to Soccer City stadium after tour Quarter Final game 8:30 - whenever Here are my questions: 1. Is this too aggressive? I know I need to be at the stadium early, but I was hoping to get a tour in because I leave for Krueger the next morning and won't have another chance to sight see in Joburg 2. How do I get back to the guest house after the game. I will be staying in Florida, Johannesburg a suburb of Roodepoort and I can't find any information about transportation. Are taxis the only option? If so, are there any suggestions on very reputable taxis that I can contact? 3. Is it advisable to go out on the town after the game?
Use a rent statement letter or landlord reference letter if you can't prove you've saved a deposit. When borrowing more than 90% of the purchase price, a lender will need to be satisfied with your ability to make repayments. Generally, you can demonstrate this by showing proof of regular savings over a period of 3 to 6 months. This is commonly in the form of contributions to a savings account. These savings will need to add up to 5% of the purchase price plus the costs of completing the purchase. Otherwise known as ' genuine savings ', it's a policy of almost all Australian lenders, and they tend to be quite strict on this requirement. That means if you've been gifted a deposit from your parents or recently inherited a large sum of money, banks will still need to see evidence that you've saved 5% of the purchase price yourself. Luckily, there are lenders out there who will consider verification of rental history from your real estate agent or property manager in place of genuine savings.

This will depend on whether the parent buys the property or whether it is the child's property. Is could be funded by contributions from mum or dad or perhaps even grandparents with one of them acting as a guarantor on the loan. Assuming the parents decide to buy the property (and already have their own main residence), SDLT will be payable at the higher rate set at 3% above the normal residential rate. If the son or daughter purchases the property and it is their first home, the normal residential rates will apply. "If the child buys, then for a £300, 000 property, there would be an SDLT saving of £9, 000! " Additionally, if the student lives in the property as his or her main home and lets out rooms, they can take advantage of Rent-A-Room Relief where rental incomes of up to £7, 500 a year can be tax-free. The student does not have to own the property, the parents could own it and let to the student, who then lets rooms to friends and uses the rent received to fund their living costs at university.
